Where would be the best place to look for cordyceps in central texas?

Sorry to bug all of you with this but just know I have done my due diligence so I am not asking without having searched for this information already. I want to begin experimenting with cordyceps but to do that I need a specimen. I live in the austin area and I hear a good bout of rain is on the way.

Several reasons. first being the pure novelty. Second, and most important is that I do a lot of experiments with forced mutations and if I can mutate a strain in the way that I mean to it would be of more benefit than just pure entertainment to me. Sorry, but because of the nature of what I intend on doing I can not give greater detail. If I could use a different organism I would, but cordyceps have nearly all the traits I need for the experiment.
