My first experiment testing colloidal silvers antiviral properties

I have a nice big cold sore on the side of my mouth which has been growing for the past 3 days. I read up on cold sores and found out that they're caused by the herpes simplex virus. Perfect opportunity to find out if colloidal silver really dose have antiviral properties. Since I'm not drinking the stuff at least I'm not risking heavy metal poisoning. The possibility of turning blue is a risk I don't mind taking at all. I'm studying to be a chemist so I'll just tell people its the result of an experiment gone wrong haha.

I'm gonna soak some tissue on the solution and cold it against the cold sore for about 10 minutes. I'll keep you all updated on how this experiment goes. The problem with this kinda experiment is that if the cold sore heals how do I know it didn't do so naturally? I can't think of any controls for this kind of experiment.

maybe starting you experiment before the halfway point of the sores life would have been a good idea. then you can see if it gets as big as normal or fizzles out in the early stage like when u take a valtrex or abreva. if u start your experiment now it is already invalid because it is time for your herpes to heal anyway so was it you or silver that did it.

Yeah your right. Usually when I get a tiny cold sore it heals before it turns into a big dirty one like I have now so I didn't bother trying to cure it.
