 How do I wash DMT crystals?

Somebody here used the STB tek and can certainly smell the naphtha on the crystals. The crystals themselves have a consistent yellowish tint. I heard people talking about a solvent wash but never could find a detailed explanation on how to perform this. It would be great to have pure crystals, as I would imagine.
Any help would be great!

The naphtha didn't completely evaporate?
Just do D.I. water washes in a saucepan a few times until all the naphtha is evaporated.

Was the naphtha supposed to evap completely? the deemsters were left to dry for a good hour, but the smell never left.
What do you mean by D.I ??

deionized water. you can also use natural spring water from the store.

i never have problems with the naphtha not evaporating with freeze precip...when i let it sit out to dry for about an hour, i notice the smell of naphtha will slowly go away, leaving a certain smell of fresh DMT and the DMT should be crisp when scraped and not wet....when the DMT is dry, when you go to smell the jar, it should smell almost like a new pair of leather shoes...for real

you could use a fan if you think it is wet but dont aim it directly on it...set it up where there is air just blowing through the inside of the jar gently...watch often(every 10 mins) because a fan will dry it out FAST in my opinion...you dont want to keep a fan on for a really long time because when too much oxygen gets exposed to the DMT, it will lose potency i hear and might go into n-oxide DMT....that is when WAY too much oxygen gets exposed and it turns the crystals to a yellow goo i hear....but this is with a long time of a fan blowing. Just dont leave the fan on it for like the whole day and you will be fine. DMT should be stored in a airtight container in a dark freezer.

I did a couple sodium carbonate washes using this tek and finally got white crystals:

I made the sodium carbonate by getting a $0.42 box of baking soda (not baking powder) and cooking it in a jar in the oven at 350F for 3 hours.

I highly doubt there's naphtha in your spice. Yellow is powerful mojo. Vaporize it as-is. Get used to that smell. That's the smell of tryptamine, which is...

I guess I fumbled a little because I didn't COMPLETELY dry it out. I poured off as much naphtha to the drop after I pulled out the freezer. When I scraped, it was pretty dry but not 100%. Like I mentioned, it is sitting in a vial now, which I am not around at the moment. I guess I will just let it sit out at room temp for a few hours, uncovered. Should I expect the scent to change?..or better yet, will it be safe enough to smoke without killing my lungs?

Again, if your spice is powdery, then there's no naphtha present. Give it two solid hits and report back!
