MEXICO CITY – The body of 36-year-old Hugo Hernandez was left on the streets of Los Mochis in seven pieces as a chilling threat to members of the Juarez drug cartel. A note read: "Happy New Year, because this will be your last."
To drive home the point, the assailants skinned Hernandez's face and stitched it onto a soccer ball.

It's a crazy world out there, people.

Soldiers carry the coffin of fellow soldier Melquisedet Angulo during his funeral in Pariaso, Mexico, Monday, Dec. 21, 2009. Gunmen open fire late Monday on the family of Angulo, who died during a raid that took down powerful drug kingpin Arturo Beltran Leyva, after the family returned from the funeral, killing his mother, two siblings and aunt.

I'll make sure not to cross any Mexican drug cartels.
Some cop told me once that years ago, the US took in a bunch of Mexican military personnel, gave them the latest training, cutting edge technology, and all that, and then the fucking drug cartels paid them off. And now there are US trained super soldiers running around Mexico working for the cartels. I forgot the name he had for them, but he was a drug cop so I don't think he was making stuff up.

yep, they are FUCKED UP
But even here the girls are becoming victims of gang attacks now, even if they were just in a relationship or associated in some way with other gang members. Seriously guys, even if you're not in a gang and you are associating with gang members it can be VERY DANGEROUS.
If only the casual drug users could just grow their weed and shrooms...

Yeah I lived in a border town in Mexico named Laredo from the age of 10 to 14 1/2 years and actually saw bodies floating by the rio bravo, rio grand in the Texas side.
There is this magazine called La Alarma (the alarm) that showed grizzly pics of people executed or otherwise murdered people every day.
But if you stay out of their way (the drug gangs) they will not bother you, if you rat or otherwise go against them though, you are dead, I think they kicked it up a notch since the US's "war on drugs".
I lucked out in that my Grandma was well known and respected in our bario (hood) and surrounding area because she helped establish a lot of the housing in the area and helped out a lot of the families whose grandsons where a some of the people in the neighbor hoods gangs.
One time, I got jumped by a neighboring gang and some people who I didn't know, stepped up and beat the isht out of the guys that were messing with me and walked me back home to my Grandma's house and paid their respects to my Grandma and promised to look out for me.
I was impressed because my Grandma, a super religious pillar of the community lady, for some reason was respected my the criminal element.
I never got bother again, I could walk around the whole city and no one would mess with me even though I was a church nerd and didn't know a thing about drugs or gangs.
There is honor among thieves, but just don't get in their way.

Ok I found it, Los Zetas: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Zetas
Quote:
The group is extremely well armed, they wear body armor and some wear Kevlar ballistic helmets; their arsenal includes AR-15 and AK-47 rifles, MP5 submachine guns, .50 cal. machine guns, grenade launchers, surface-to-air missiles, dynamite and helicopters.[6] They are known to operate with modern wiretapping equipment. Los Zetas is known to operate with a higher tactical degree than the local authorities, often uniformed as Federal Preventive Police and driving similarly labeled vehicles. During one shootout against law enforcement the group employed grenade launchers and 50 cal. machine guns.[
Scary stuff. Most of the really messed up stuff happening in Houston right is because of these guys. Silly drug laws have spawned armies of psychopaths armed to the teeth with missiles and 50 cal machine guns.

At some point a variation of this conversation took place.
"What are we gonna do Jose?"
"I don't know Juan."
"Let's stitch his face to a soccer ball."
" Ok, I know how to sew. "

I wouldnt want to join but I can assure you, there's a thousand ways of eliminating them without so much as a direct confrontation, it's up to the citizens though, do they want to become what they loathe for the safety of their families because the police and military will not take those steps, they're on the payroll

it's the power of fear that should compel the people to do something, but hey, maybe the people are fine with what's going on, maybe they believe the police will eventually step in and do something
