"He carries the gift of healing which is imparted from the Spirit of God."
That's the thing. He doesn't. What he does, is he tricks people into thinking they are being healed, or that they are watching someone being healed. Then he takes their money.
I'm sure if someone were to go to one of his shows, he'd be quite good at making the whole thing very convincing. Lots of people, I'm sure, would change their opinion of him after watching his show. This does not mean that what he is doing is real. It just means that what he's doing is convincing, and that those he's convinced are gullible.
He's a scam artist, plain and simple. He likely even believes himself that he's healing people. He's convinced himself he's doing good, and has justified the theft in his mind. Again, religion is used to justify evil acts.

He heals just like a plecebo heals. Just because you think you are cured doesn't mean that you are actually cured. He is a con, and I think he knows it. The sheep must be careful that their shepard isn't the devil in disguise. It is easy to believe a lie when the alternative is to accept death.

I'd be more surprised if he didn't believe it. Human beings are very good at justifying their actions, no matter how repugnant they are.
I'll bet his feelings of guilt just helped to strengthen his faith.

Exactly, the people going to these events are not athiest and I'd put a lot of money betting that they are not the types of christians that only go at christmas time or every other week. They either are hardcore Christians or are desperate to find it (see; dying or suffering from disease). When you go to something like this you are paying a lot of money, you expect something miraculous to happen and your adrenaline is ful tilt. So these people have no problem going with the flow and if the flow means falling over when Bill says"touch" you do it cause it might cure your cancer.

>>>They either are hardcore Christians or are desperate to find it (see; dying or suffering from disease).
Bingo. I talked to a man that took his son to a Benny Hinn crudade. He was desperate for his son to live. You see, his sone was terminally ill with lymphoma cancer. He was desperate for sure.
But make no mistake about it. GOd is almighty and He does miraculously heal people every day. One of my friends mom had a leg shorter than the other from poleo when she was young. God did heal her and it's been permanant.
I'm of the opinion that Hinn might have been used mightily but God in the past but I seriously doubt that he is now.
A couple women from work went to see him when he came to Columbus. They told me about it and how he quit doing the healing line when the "Anointing" left. I thought tht was suspicious but they didn't see it that way at all.
Now, I'de like to bring somthing up. You don't need to go to a healing crusade to get saved or healed. Call upon the name of the LORD and you will be saved. Once you have Jesus you're creator/healer/comforter/redeemer is living in your heart.

Actually, the human body is pretty resiliant. It can heal itself pretty well in many different situations. A lot of people who don't believe in god, or even those who curse him are "miraculously" healed all the time. Also, many who pray desperately, and love Jesus with a zealous passion, die.

I think the 3rd eye is more of a seat for the Soul than the total Soul itself. It's just another sense to perceive the One Soul (Reality) with, like the heart or the genitals.

Have you guys ever watched that TBN shit? Its scary, yet funny at the same time. Once we called teh donation line (long-distance) and told the operator how excited we were to sell all of our possessions and give it to the ministry in the name of Jesus Christ, and then she hung up. That guy is a slick motherfucker. Have you guys seen that bitch on that channel with three tons of makeup and hair with a 10 inch radius from her face. She is fucking scary. I thought Christ was about being humble and shit and those fuckers put on some extravagant shows. Well, enough of that, Im going to hell now

It's true the Christian church in America has the reputation as always having a hand out. Big televangelists that grow wealthy and employ telemarketers don't help either. Wherever you go and in whatever you do you'll find that some people are just not there for the right reason. But don't let that discourage you. Because if you're the kind of person that wants to grow you will. And there's no better way to do that than by having a ralationship with Jesus and reading your Bible. You don't need fancy televangelists and their programing. Just a Bible and a heart to do God's will.

But make no mistake about it. Your declaring it a mistake adds no more weight to your argument.
GOd is almighty and He does miraculously heal people every day. Your interpretation only with no substantiation.
One of my friends mom had a leg shorter than the other from poleo when she was young. God did heal her and it's been permanant. An anecdote is not indicative of anything.
BOTTOM LINE QUESTION: Are there fewer cases of cancer among Christians than non-Christians?
Resounding Answer: NO! (except for certain small sects following strict dietary guidelines.)
Cancer rates are divided among dietary / lifestyle lines, not religious belief lines. This is HIGHLY indicative of physical CAUSE & EFFECT.
According to your way of thinking, God must really HATE American Christian women or they must have the weakest faith on the planet, as they have the HIGHEST rate of breast cancer in the world.
Which is it?
Argue and squirm all you want on that one my brother. Facts is facts.

Yeah, but as your spiritual beliefs change, so does your diet and lifestyle. So those beliefs do have a role in cancer rates, right?
