uncolonized but it's done
    #1178668 - 12/30/02 02:35 AM (21 years, 3 months ago)

I left a jar over christmas that was already pretty colonized to sit for christmas and now that I'm back the uncolonized spot is still uncolonized there's stringy myc reaching over this part and there fluffy myc in little spots all over the uncolonized spot so I wonder if the BRF was improperly mixed and this are didn't get a lot because all I see on this part of the cake is myc and uncolonized verm no sign of of BRF. I wa wondering if this could contam (can verm contam?) and if not I'm just throwing it in my terrarium.

And you tried flipping the jar over, maybe loosening the lid.

Are you going to do bulk? If so then just cut the uncolonized area away and grumble the rest in the dung. Some jars just stall and there isn't much you can do other then what you've already done. Go with the bulk, that's what dude would do. Good luck.

I don't got the dung yet but when I have the cash I'll order some or get a ride out to a farm but I'm trying to keep my shroom growing a secret and explaining to people wh I need a few pounds of aged dung isn't easy.

I tried a straight verm casing and am so pissed off I'm not trying that again and probably won't do another casing till I can get some lime for my peat so It's just cakes for right now.

Well you might still try removing the uncolonized area, spraying with peroxide/water mix and putting it into your fruiting area.
