Spore syringes with charcoal - trouble creating an LC

Hi everyone, I'm having problems creating an LC with strains that i have in spore syringes that have some charcoal added (Panaeolus cyanescens Cull and Psilocybe mexicana A). I make my LC from 4% solution of honey...any suggestions why the problem? Other strains without the charcoal are doing great...

So you're saying that...
LC w/ charcoal doesn't work. LC w/o charcoal does work.
Where's the problem? Quit putting in charcoal.
If you got a brew-it-your-self shop around, buy some light malt extract. 1% by weight (1g LME:99-100cc dH2O) works fantastically and is pretty clear once the myc ends up eating the nutrients.
Some people filter the LME before PC to get the sediment out, although I've never thought it much of a problem.

I bought the spore syringes from a spore vendor, and these syringes have some charcoal added to the spore solution in order to minimize the contams..When I put some of these spores into the LC the mycelia doesn't seem to grow...I quite don't get it why it doesn't want to grow..In the LC the charcoal goes to the bottom of the vial and creates a sediment and there's no sign of mycelia..other strains that have no charcoal added to the spore solution are growing great in the LC so I suspected that the charcoal is the problem...

The charcoal must help with the microscopic viewing of the spores. I can't think of any other reason for its presence without implying intent to cultivate. Good luck!
