does anybody know if ground vitamins, chelated minerals, or complex types would be a healthy addition to a bulk substrate? h2o2s thread on the honey tek a bit back mentioned bvitamin as a substitute for nutritional yeast when making MYA or MEA. might be a stupid question, but i was curious if this is a process only utilized when dealing with agar, or if it could be applied with success when making bulk substrates... id appreciate any replies...

cheers...

...roy

there are probably more important things you could work on to improve yields, and such. but for your fyi, some people on mycotopia--forestfloor (i dont have links) have mentioned using blood meal and worm castings to improve spawn time on bulk substrates.... most of the time mya & mea are used in agar work.... feel free to expirement and share the results tho... pm if you can't find the links...

...and oyster shells? or is calcium not really important? why coffee beans, and how would you prepare them? ground fresh, whole, used grinds...
