Reynolds Oven Bags for sterilization

I used the oven bags taking a chance they would melt, but on the back of the directions it mentioned do not exceed 400 degrees. I sterilized my 50/50 + using a wire zip tie and poking 2 very small holes below the tie to let gas exchange. I didnt worry about the bag touching the sides of the pressure cooker and poured water half way up the cooker, 45 minutes later I must say it was perfect. I hung the bag from my faucet poked some holes on the bottom of the bag let it drip and the next morning and cased my 3 cakes. I placed all my cakes in a food processor and chopped them to pieces. I hope for some good results.

Did the top of the bag (where you poked the small holes) stay above the water well? Or are you saying you like pastuerized it? Thats what it sounds like when you said you hung it up and let excess water drain out.

The top of the bag was above water, When I took the bag out of the pressure cooker no water had entered the bag (because it was wire tied) the holes i poked where smaller than a grain of rice. I hung the bag on the faucet poked some holes with a fork to let the excess water that was originally inside the bag drain out, so the soil was just nice and moist.
