Uses for a sears 'steam shark'
    #1174089 - 12/27/02 01:16 PM (21 years, 3 months ago)

I got a steam shark for christmas and i was wondering what some mycological uses may be.  Steralizing tools is one possible use, does anyone know of any others?

If you dont know what it is:
It's basically a unit you fill with water, and a hose that sprays out very hot steam.

Thanks n Peace!

Sounds like a perfect tool for steaming compost. There is a tek that describes how to do the same using a steam producing humidifier.

Yeah sounds cool. Does the gift giver know what they have done.
Have you seen how hot it gets with your meat thermometer.

Heya CSC -

I saw a thread a little while back regarding how to make a pasteurization chamber using exactly what you have. Umm - stoner that I am though - I dont remember who wrote it up or which site it was on. Basically took a cooler - rigged up a screen on the bottom so the steam could spread even - and hooked the hose to the drain spout somehow and pasteurized the shit out of some shit.

Hope it Helped - 420M

You can clean your counters that you will be working at.
You can clean your oven with it.
I'm sure you will find many uses for that.
Great present...lucky you!

I doubt you'd have much cock left after that =)

I'm gonna check the temp of the steam comming out of this thing.

I might take it back, it doesnt really do that well at cleaning surfaces, maybe i'm doing it wrong
anyway, if i take it back i can get this nifty ATI: raedon all in wonder 9000 video card ohhhhh its very nice.
so its either, have a steam steralizer, or have some time lapse photography... hmmmmmmm.
