A question for the new year

say if HYPOTHETICALLY someone was growin some shrooms to eat for the new year and they grew GREAT but they are currently in the process of drying. Now this person has had them drying for about 72 hours, 24 of those hours they've been in a desiccant chamber. It's the first of the year and this person and his/her friends wanna start the new year on a trip but the person is skeptical to give his/her friends almost-dried mushies.. If u were to give this person some advice, what would it be? -jusplayalong-

It's all good. Drying is for long term storage, you can eat them fresh even if you wanted.

I second the drying for long term storage. eat em raw. but you have to give them away! it's only fair. I never charge. i just hand out my lil gram ooo gelatin capsules and two will have you tripping balls!
I have also seen great success with almost dry mushrooms by mashing them between the lip/ckeek and gum. 20 mins and then swallow should do. They taste nasty but fuckin grow up. Anything worth while is tough.

i eat mine fresh and juicy but you can give it to them which every-way you want, its been said the fresh and juicy ones are the most potent and that they loose potency when drying but I'm not 100% positive about that.

I always have way more stomach discomfort when i eat fresh. I read in a mushroom cultivation book that alot of the stomach discomfort is deminished upon drying by the irritating compounds in the fresh mushroom oxidizing and degrading. I also remember getting a "blackout" type of trip when eating fresh as opposed to the dreamy trance like trip i normally get.

mint.. sounds like a good idea.. ill have to try the next time... ive also tried it with the TAZO brand tea.. the one labeled calm.. a real nice blend of flavors including spearmint, lemon grass, lemon balm, chamomille and licorice root.. among others... give it a try
