Colonization doesn't stall out for no reason. I was giving him reasons why his tub might have stalled. The tub looks fine, but if he hasn't seen any additional growth within a week, something is probably wrong.
Personally, I would give it more time, but I would definitely be giving it a good look every few days.
Thanks, I will do that. The reason it might have stalled would be that the water content may have been too high, or, quite possibly, the fact I used Plaster of Paris. RR says thats no way to get gypsum, and if you do use it, you should prepare it. I didn't take either recomendation (trust me, I would have if I had read it before it was too late :/)

Go check RR's site for the video about manure preparation. It should have a demonstration for field capacity.
Also, for future reference, a 50 lb bag of gypsum ran me about $5.00 at Lowe's. It's not only good for your bulk substrate as a pH buffer, but does wonders for your grain spawn by making sure the grains won't clump together and by adding sulfur and calcium.

Did you buy garden-specific gypsum? Last time I went there asking for gypsum, they took me to the drywall.
