Anyone grow with dogs in the house?

So I'm getting a few puppies pretty soon and well they are going to stay with me in my room, along with my mushy setup. Is this going to be ok? I'm just worried if there is a bigger contamination risk? Thanks to anyone who can chime in on this for me.

I have a dog in the house. Walks in and out of the room where I grow all the time and I have not had problems relating to him. Just make sure to keep the area they are at nice and clean.

It's never been a problem for me. The only prob I ever had was when my dogs thought it would be a good idea to dig some discarded mushies out of the trash. I had trippin Pitbulls and felt like bad parent. But as for as contams go I think your fine.

I have an Alaskan Malamute...the most furry dog you can get practically (pound for pound anyway). She sheds like CRAZY! I vacuum 2-4 times a week and no matter how much I vacuum, I still suck up crazy amounts of hair. I have seen dog hair in sterile jars, inside of colonized substrate, and picked them off of the fruits. It's yet to cause a problem. My dog eats and sleeps next to grow equipment. I just shut off the fan to the house prior to sterile work and make sure I clean up a bit. I am pretty relaxed with it so far and it hasn't caused enough of a problem to address so far. I love her and she has thankfully not messed with the grows. She doesn't bother the tubs or mushroom substrates at all. In fact, sometimes when she gets into food in the trash she gets into some chinese food I eat that has mushrooms in it. I will find mushroom scattered all over the floor (while eveything else has been ate)...my dog wants nothing to do with the mushrooms.

ok dog stories a!
well i got 6 rat dogs and when i was growing oysters in the house ....well they like them too. so no problem with contam but they do eat allot which has me worried some. i worry about them eating bad ones in the yard. as i have heard of a few deaths around Colorado of dogs by shrooms. so keep the buggers away from the mushrooms but don't block them out because of them.
your gunna have more fun now and congrats on the adoption

One time a mushroom hunter was giving me shit because I brought my dog with me to get morels...called me cheating...lol. My dog has no interest in the things and even tried half ass attempt her to get her help me hunt morels as they definitely smell unique...she cares more about killing the squirrels.
