After making prints on index cards and letting them dry, what should I store them in? A zip-loc bag or should I wrap the index card in aluminum foil?

just put it in a ziploc and store in cool/dark/dry place. should have used tinfoil as printing material, you'll findout why later
-------------------- Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.

The reason I don't use aluminum foil is because when scraping the spores off, the foil has a tendency to rip.

next time u eat pies/cakes, look to see if the pie came in a aluminium tray........cutting this up into suitable sizes makes great stuff to print onto.

But if I already have index cards printed, should I store them in zip-loc bags or aluminum foil to minimize the loss of spores from the card?

What are you using to take the spores off with? And how are you doing it? As to storage.. i recommend putting them in baggies that are small enough that the cards won't move around much and then putting them in a small diary type book. Keeps them from smudging.

zip bagz are nice ,if you like to show and tell the important thing is to keep the humidity out . if you use aluminum foil fold the edges over and seal with tape . you can use a book to press the air out before sealing . either method works , bags are more convenient but less dependable . just my .02
