Would it be possible too use sugar in the raw in your soak water for Rye? Kinda like the sugar LC, only using the nutes for jars instead, possibly substrate.
Idk, I was just thinking about the possibility.
Any reason why this would or wouldnt benifit grows?

1) sugar in the raw works for LC, but it's not as good as some other sugars like dextrose or fructose. 2) soaking grains in sugars is unnecessary, they are already full of sugars, starches, and proteins.
But I bet somebody has tried it, and if you UTSE you might get a different answer.

You would do better by using half-strength coffee and gypsum in your rye soak.

Total cost to try the experiment is some grain jars and some kind of sugar that isn't refined white sucrose. Give it a try, let us know what you think.

I think I'll try a lil side by side this upcoming grow for shits and giggles.
I would have too soak the grains in the jars before boiling so I can use some sort of ratio. 1pk per jar or something. Its only going too cost a whole .20 too try it, why not.
Ill update, with pics hopefully, when I start my adventure.

Or just sprinkle a bit in the jars you are testing and shake it around.

Think the grains would absorb the surgar, or think the sugar is just going too stick too the grain?
