Cold Shocking

Ok my jars are pretty much all white now except for a spot on the bottom. I'm going to cold shock them to get some pins. Tonight i will get the terrarium ready for birthing them. Should i do this and should i expect there to be pins when i remove from fridge? Also, if i place the jars in there at say 7:30 tonight, then do i take them out at 7:30 tomarrow night? Ok that sums up that but one more thing. When i birth my jars to put them into the terrarium, which way do i plop them out or does it matter? I incubated them so the jar sat on the bottom, or right side up. The lid was at the top, lets put it that way. Can i just turn it upside down and put them like that or would that be upside down for them?

Nope it can take up to two weeks to see pins depending on strain/enviromental conditions.

I think most people put it to where teh dry verm barrier is on bottom. At least thats how i do it.

Birth the cake so the dry verm barrier is on the bottom, so the previously bottom of the cake will be pointing up.

It's interesting that you mention this. I have only found one cake Tek that advises they are placed upside-down due to confusing the primordia. That tek can be found here: http://www.shroomery.org/scgt/SCGTv0.5.html
Anyone have any comments as to how effective this is?
