How long to see growth at this temp?

Hello Everyone,
I just had a really quick question. My friend's room is regularly at 78F. He inoculated a few jars 6 days ago, some with B+, some with PE. How long should it take to see growth?
Is there some estimate on how long a pint jar would take at that temp?
Im wondering if he should try to incubate to speed things up.

A multi-spore inoculation can take anywhere from 4 days to a month to show any signs of growth. 78 degrees ought to be plenty to start things off. As for full colonization, that can take quite some time as well, especially with notoriously slow-to-colonize types like PE.
Patience is important in this hobby (which is oft' repeated around here); on the bright side, there is plenty of time to start side projects, get ramped up for bulk or agar or whatever you like.

all of my jars either germinate at 3 days (fresh spores) or 14 days (vendor spores) . don't worry it'll sprout. when you get fruits make sure to take prints and just use those from now on. yYou will be glad you did.

Thanks for the tip Yeah we're looking into agar..but im having trouble finding a vendor with petri dishes here in our area.
I didnt know PE was slow to colonize :/

Ok.They are probably slow colonizer and you just have to wait. However to speed up your col times you need GE. Did you remove micropore tape and/or aluminium foil after inoculation?

I used the old foil method. I havent removed the foil, but the lids are a bit loose. Is that enough? or should i remove the foil too?
