best automated fruiting chamber?

I have 3 cakes and 3 "sos" style casings I'm in the process of making. I won't be able to tend to my fc because it will be stored at a friends house and he isn't going to touch it.
Basically I need a fruiting chamber that I can set and forget, I've been searching a lot on this but the ideas and opinions are very mixed. Can I build a shotgun style FC and run an aquarium pump with air lines through the perlite causung constant FAE and proper humidity? I planned on using an 18qt tub for this but I can go bigger if needed.
Thanks peeps.

I tried a shotgun w/ pearlight and a bubble wand on an aquarium pump with poor results.
Truly the best 'set it and forget it' setup is to grow stones (pimpin my sig, yet again).
This link shows the best automated setup I've seen (short of a comercial grow op, but not by much) http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=2&Number=11151650&PHPSESSID=&fpart=1#11151650. I am working on replicating a similar system using monotubs and a multi-channel humidistat. By working, I mean I'm planning on getting the stuff to get it to work.

Will work for Laetiporus sulphureus culture/spores (or any other Laetiporus actually), me.

This is a critical oversight that you will not be able to remedy.

Well I can teach him to mist and fan but he lives in a nasty frat house that's never clean and people smoke cigaretts in there too, so I dedicated a huge closet that I'm going to sterilize and lock it into..

Shit your right, I'm gonna have to keep it here and just stay stealthy.
How about a mini shot gun? I can hide one of those. Or a mini mono??

Of course it is. You want hands off, that's hands off. You want failsauce, just pretend they don't exist.
Automation isn't easy, but it sure is fun.
Grow some stones. A few vendors sell pre-steralized bags. Insert syringe A into Bag B and throw it under your bed for 3 months. Its not automated, stones just require negligence.

Understatement of the century.

Mini mono is probably the way to go. I needed to put fans on the monos to get enough FAE for those suckers to fruit. Unfortunatly, high FAE = low humidity = daily misting. If you are going to have time in the future but none now and you haven't birthed the cakes, stick them in a fridge or something.

Automated systems do work, but they can be pretty finicky until you get the right amount of FAE and humidity properly set. But I really don't think it is worth a few cakes and a few trays. Keep it at your place and do it right.
