Accidently turned PF Cakes
    #11736186 - 12/29/09 08:30 AM (15 years, 22 days ago)

SWIM has a 50/50 PF cake that was recently put in the fruiting chamber. It is on day 2 and a half right now and one day when he opened it to fan it the cake fell over onto its side, he kind of freaked out and tried to set it up right quick, then later noticed he had put it upside down

So the top of the cake when it was sitting upright had started to form the fuzzy stuff that happens before pinning. Now it is sitting upside down standing up on the fuzzy stuff that was on the top before.

Is this going to hurt the chances of pinning/shrooms popping out of the mycelium in that area?

It was sitting upside down for a good 6 hours or so.

as long as pins havent actually formed yet i dont see a problem here. although if pins were forming, they would now be covered and would abort? due to lack of fae/light?

im sure someone more knowledgable will be able to help

Gotta do more than that to fuck up a cake. That's why we recommend them to newbies.
