Psilocybe cubensis cultivation. Small fruit.
    #11735575 - 12/29/09 02:34 AM (15 years, 22 days ago)

12/18/2009 first pin appears.
Fruit growing very slowly, after 11 days of growth, they began to tear the veil. But pollution also occurred cake!

Why am I so small and the fruit?

they are probably small because you don't have them in a fruiting chamber...

sometimes it is as simple as bad genetics

You need a fruiting chamber to achieve optimal conditions.

Blue looks like bruising, not an issue.

Give us some more detail. Anyway thats not normal. Are you using a shotgun terrarium? Are you providing sufficient FAE? RH level? The blue spot you can see in the last pic is bruising. Definitely not a contamination issue (what you call pollution).

It could indeed be a genetic issue.

I had similar problems with a certain strain.

Another time it seemed to be the coldness I cultivated them in, as an experiment. Took ages for them to grow and what came out looked pretty much exactly like what you have there.

He is from China and he has a fruiting chamber. And I know for a fact he knows what he's doing because he has grown Panaeolus Cyanescens.

If this is the same cake you showed us in this thread http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11667821/page/1/fpart/2/vc/1
then I am assuming it is probably bad genetics.

"HE" looks more like a "SHE". Doesn't matter though.

Bad genetics is definitely one way to produce fruits like this!

 Thanks for clarifying this. Could be bad genetics, but I am still not sure about that. Maybe it's just the pic, but they look slimy to me.

I'm loving that you act like cunt in every thread. It was the same grow you moron.
Stfu unless you have something useful to add. Please leave the shroomery as it seems you cannot handle posting here, making any positive suggestions, and seem to be hated by almost everyone.

I have had a tray that grew like that which grew just like that. And I tried growing the same ones over again from the same liquid culture and it produced very similar results. While other trays grew differently under the same conditions.

When coming from an LC, the genetic information in the mycelium is the same for every tray you knock up with it.
The problem lies within the genetic information of the spores that build the mycelium in the first place.

So for your grow this makes pretty clear it's an genetic issue (and I know you know that:wink:)

Wlick, when this cake is a result of multispore syringe, try another run with it. I'm pretty sure the next one's going to come out normally. Would be interesting.

Those cakes are wet, probably waterlogged. Just my 2 cents. GL

Seriously? I referenced that thread to point out he obviously knows what he's doing and has a fc.
Your ill fated attempts to even make any points or helpful hints to wlick are futile.
Do everyone a favor and look at your posts, so that you may finally realize why no one here likes you.
