Can a 1 pint jar start pinning at 30% colonization

I'm just wondering if I left an unopened since pre sterilization PFTEK jar on my night stand with a light, could it pinn without air circulation?
I have 4 holes punched in the lid, with a heavy piece of gauze folded up many times, to act as a breather/filter...would that allow enough air to pinn?

I'm only doing this as an experiment, I have jars to waste right now and must get this outta my system.

oh yeah, once the fungus becomes establisted and the jar is exposed to light you will biging to see some pinning.

It depends on how long it takes the mycelium to become established, but if it is, then given the right conditions it can begin pinning.

Yeah, I have a jar of grain(cereal)/ verm 50/50 that is around 30-35% colonized
but the top of the cake, near the lid is sooooo fuzzy! HUGE mycelium like giant snow flakes....I want to see this stuff pin.
So I just leave it near my light, do I loosen the lid for MORE air, do I leave it on cause it's only 30% colonized? I don't want the rest of the grain to rot...
