I found a woodchip...
    #11729148 - 12/27/09 11:13 PM (15 years, 23 days ago)

So i was walking around in my grandma's apartment complex, and i notice a woodchip with a white circle on it. i picked it up, and sure enough, it was mycelium. my only question is... what should i do from here to produce mushrooms?

what makes you think it is a mushroom worth growing, or that it will even fruit?

Leave it there.... It's obviously in it's natural habitat and doing well.  Just visit the site on occasion until it fruits on its own.  Once it fruits, you can better identify it as well as take a spore print from it.

well i'm not sure if it's a psychadellic mushroom, but i jus wanted to see what kind it really was. i live in texas and right now it's pretty cold outside. also, since the mycelium was on the woodchip, that  means it's a woodloving strain. but how many wood/cold weather loving strains are there?
