Fruit (pics)

Harvested a bit of fruit today..

:crazy2:
Also there was these Siamese twins:

Is this a mutation?

There's still two more clusters similar to the top picture that I'm waiting for more development to harvest, as well as a bunch of random ones spread over the whole casing.

Thanks for everyone's help, I couldn't have done it this well without you.  :mushroom2:

Thanks man, this is my first grow.

That's technically my second flush. The first one happened inside of the jars - I got 6g dry when I went to take them out of the jars and into my casing.

Also, the casing was only sliced up cakes and 50/50 casing mix. Apparently I should have spawned to coir or something similar.

The veils on the other cluster are just starting to pop now, and I'm seeing many more little pins starting to come out of the soil.

Not many people get two Christmases!

P.S. How do you guys harvest individual mushrooms from your clusters? I want to get the ones that have veils popping but leave the rest because there's some pins at the base of the stems without risking contamination.
Also, how long does it generally take for pins to turn into mushrooms in casings? I have to leave the house for a few days.

That's awesome!

I spawned my cakes to poo and they're in the fc right now. Waiting patiently...

Nope, they're SporeWorks Golden Teachers.

Just finished harvesting all of 'em. (Some have already been drying for a couple hours so they look wrinkly)

I grew GTs and it took forever to pin!  At least a week after I put them in the FC they pinned, and were ready to harvest a week later (give or take a day or two!

I had to leave too for Christmas, for like over a week.  When I get back to my apt Tuesday, it's gonna be nuts.  Either really dead, or way past harvest.  *crosses fingers*

Thats exactly what happened to me. I put them in the FC and left for Christmas for 8 days and came back to these beauties! Great timing, all the veils were just popping when I got home.

Hopefully when I come back in another week flush number 3 will be waiting for me.

That's awesome! I hope my timing is as great and I'm hoping I got enough for a New Year's trip!

What did you do to make your FC self-sufficient while you were away?

Nothing really. I put my FC inside the closet that I'm using as a grow room (so the lighting was already set to 12/12). I put a floro on top of the tub on the same timer and tried to leave the humidity around 100% the day that I left.

When I came back to them there was a bunch of mushrooms. It was obvious they were in need of some humidity because when I harvested the ones that were ready I also misted the tub - the next morning all the ones that weren't ready the night before were ready.

I came back to some mushrooms way past harvest. The entire monotub was black and the caps had completely turned inside out. It was a massive crop but I just threw it all out cause I didn't want to clean them up.

That's cool, I was less creative and stuck a huge bowl of water in it with a small air pump bubbling the water.  I don't know if it's gonna do anything for the humidity, bur I was hoping the moving water coupled with perlite would keep the RH up.  We'll see.

That sounds very plausible, but I hope there weren't any contams in the air pump and that you didn't leave the pump outside the FC because the air intake is on the pump. :picard:
