early pinning

i was wondering if someone could give me some advice... one of my jars is pinning heavily, but the colony hasn't fully taken over the substrate. should i birth the cake anyways, or should i wait it out? thanks for your help!

i am not 100% sure for tha answer but never let light get in your incubator! let the jars colonize 100% and then leave them in there for another week

Just wait it out and let it pin in vitro. You wouldn't want to risk contamination just for a higher yield.

yeah, try not to look at the jars everyday. Just wait for the jars to be 100%, birth them, pick the pins and then dunk or use whatever rehydrazion method you use. If you're going to caes, don't worry about dunking.
