Mold On shrooms
    #11718894 - 12/25/09 10:46 PM (15 years, 25 days ago)

I have noticed that inside my cheap (styrofoam) terarium every time my shrooms touch the sides it turns black and then it looks like there could be some black stuff on the caps i am guessing that those are from the cob web mold and i shouldnt eat them, but what about the others gowing on the opposite side of the cake should those still be good?, I just need someone to look at this pic and tell me if they think these guys are still okay to eat and how to take care of the cob web mold shit, i tried mixing h2o2 with water and spraying them but it dont seem to be working great. Any help would be appreciated.

I've never had cobweb mold, but from my readings on here, its white and stringy.  you can do a quick search for what cobweb mold looks like

I just got it for the first time recently.  I found that is more of a light grey, when compared to the white color of the mycelium.

I did research on cobweb mold and that is what it looks like to me at the base of the stem, maybe i just took a bad pic. Either way it wasnt on the cake and i picked the ones that had it. Just want to know if i should save them to eat or just toss them? Thanks for all the advice.
