my pans, advice in request
    #11717094 - 12/25/09 04:12 PM (11 years, 4 months ago)

ok, so i followed a tek and i have crumbled some of my brf cakes into pasturized manure and put it in pans to colonize yesterday, is it fine to just leave the pans covered with aluminum foil in my shotgun fc next to other cakes? or should i take them out and put them on the shelf next to the fc instead? also do i need to take the foil back and mist at all or is the moisture content right?

i will do ANYTHING for some pan cyans, plese...

p.m. me with any questions, ill help with what i can. especially newbs.

It needs to colonize. No point in having it in the FC right now, it wants to be cozy and contained for a week or two.
You shouldn't have to add water, very little if you do. You don't want the foil too tight, it needs to breathe. Or some people poke holes.

You make it all possible. Doesn't it feel good?

It doesn't need to be in the fc.  Leave the foil on for 5-10 days poke some holes for GE,  check it at day 5 and see how it looks.  When it is 100% case with a thin casing layer 1/8-1/4",  PH should be 7.5-8.  I never mist pans until the casing looks dry,  once it dries some and a light misting they normally pin.
