Hey, i need some help with a aquarium heater i bought at wal-mart the other day it's a cheap one $10 for 5-10 gallon tanks but thats enough. LOL anyway on the heater theirs not a single nobe for me to adjust the tempature, i read on the packaging but it didn't say anything about what pre-setting it was at. Does anyone know anything about electronics or foiled with these things befor to know what and how to adjust them. I know it would be easy for me to go out and buy another one but they all were the same at wally world only difference was they were made for bigger tanks like 15-25 gallon and so on.

those with the preset temp usually get the water to mid 60s. you should get the kind with the adjustable knob to get a higher temp. i had one of the submerisible set temp ones and it sucked for using to heat an incubation chamber, so i got one where u can control and temp and gave the other to the fishes

Return that one and spend the extra $ to get one with a knob.

Go to a PetSmart or PetCo. or whatever. Some mega pet warehouse, you'll have a much better selection.

I too have found a submersible aquarium heater at Petsmart ofr $19.99. It works beautifully. It has the adjustable temperature control.
