Hey all you crazy kids I've been out of the shroom hunting loop for, jesus, about 3 years now and it's starting to dawn on me that those trips were prolly the best of times for me in recent memory. So my question is... how's the growing down in North Georgia/South Carolina looking this time of year? Is it even the season for them or is it even worth my time looking around this area or should I think about moving my game elsewhere (not too far, like Thailand, but you know what I mean.) I appreciate ya'll and whatever you can tell me. cheer, Marko.

Anywhere north of say... Tallahassee, FL is too cold right now(at least in the southeast). Your best bet is waiting till temps are in the upper 60s-70s for a few weeks, then check.

There is a ------- where they teach the boys about cattle and horse raising under pecan trees where we used to go pick, but not this time of year it was in late spring early summer after alot of rain. I havnt been there in a long time but the boys didnt really know about them. Another place near --------- was out----------- toward South Carolina. Near the S.C. line out in the fields we could find some. It has been a long time since I was out there too I hear the sprawl has consumed most of that area. We could find them in the late spring early summer again after heavy rains. I never found anything this time of year.
