Rehydrating madseason bags after 1st invitro flush
    #11712372 - 12/24/09 02:28 PM (15 years, 27 days ago)

What do you guys and gals think about using a syringe and injecting, through the injection port, sterile very weak coffee and maybe a bit of coconut oil into the block inside the bag. This will be done after I pick the first flush's fruits. This is simply to experiment. I have ten bags, so i figured I'd try it with like 2 of them.

The bag right now probably weighs about .75lb. I think I'll shoot it up with like 15cc's coffee, 5cc's oil. If there's any excess moisture pooling in the bag after 24 hours, I'll dump it out.

It gives me a lot of factual information, puts all of our experience in a magnificently consistent order, but is ghastly silent about all that really matters to us. It cannot tell a word about the sensation of red and blue, bitter and sweet, feelings of delight and sorrow. It knows nothing of beauty and ugly, good or bad, God and eternity. Science sometimes pretends to answer questions in these domains, but the answers are very often so silly that we are not inclined to take them seriously.

I will post pics for sure, I've seen them on the boards before though. My bags aren't quite 100% colonized, so I'll post in a week or two with pics.

Sweet, maybe I'll just try dunking them in the bag filled with weak coffee. I was just thinking about doing the injection method for less chance for contams. Just open the bag in sterile environment, pick the fruits quickly, then close shut and inject moisture through the port.

I guess that's part of the fun of this hobby, experiments!
