Sheep are herbivores so it ought to work ok. As for the creepy-crawlies, pasteurization!

Will it be okay to cook the worms/bugs and leave them in the shit? I mean then i would be adding worm protein to the sustrate.
Also anyone know why your supposed to dry your shit before doing anything else with it?

I don't think that leaving the worms, etc. in the pasteurized shit would be a problem, but I am not positive.
Drying or aging the dung removes chemical wastes excreted by the animal and leaves the partially broken down plant matter.

Please don't kill worms etc. cuz they are living organisms. Don't kill 'em if there's no need to do so.
...wish you and your bugs a merry christmas

Walder, if you want to dig through sheep shit to remove a bug who is not able to recognize his own existence, go right ahead. But for the rest of the world who don't like smelling like the asshole of a sheep, the bugs are going to ahve to die.

Well, coz its a year old and pretty well composted (bless those worms) I guess I do not need to worry about drying it out. Still not sure about havingworm meat in my substrate though (not that i'm adverse to cooking them or anything - i'm just concerned about the health of a higher level of life - my shrooms.
