Um is this bad?

So I just did my inspection of my grain master and I found that some of the mycelium was a little orangish. Just noticed this last night and the jar has been 100% for about a week now I just didn't have time to use it until now. It almost looks like some of the rye grains split open and the water inside died the mycelium orange. Any ideas? Here are some pics.

I don't think it is a contam because It just showed up and the jar has been 100% for about a week and nothing has changed. I don't see a contam laying dormant for 3 weeks and then trying to eat the mycelium lol.

I don't see anything in those pics that worries me. You can get better images if you step back, then zoom in or crop as needed. Use bright light, sunlight is best.

Yes, those pics are not very useful. Metabolites maybe?

Thanks everyone. That is a huge weight off my shoulders. I just PC-ed the last of my rye seed/grains/berries whatever you want to call it last night about 3 1/2 liters and I didn't want it going to waste as I want to use this for g2g today and my other 4 jars are nowhere near ready for that.
I am pretty excited about this. I am gonna use this guy to make 6 more 500ml jars worth (more like 3 500ml jars and 6 250ml jars and a grain lc jar (I need more jars)lol). Then I am gonna use those to make my monotub. Oh the next step in mycology, this is going to be fun.
I put a spoon in the pc with the jars. My plan was to use this to scoop out the grains to put them in the other jars. The 250ml jars are small and I don't want to lose grain from trying to pour it in a smaller jar. Is this going to work? Also I think my glove box is to small to do this in could I just clean up a small room really well and spray the air with bleach spray to scrub it and then use that room to do the g2g?
Thanks again, Drevrens

Use a spoon to dig out your myc/rye. I found it to be easier than banging the jar against tires and stuff.
Cleaning your work room up is a must. I use my bathroom. Yes, I know that bathrooms are contaminant fun houses, but if you bleach every square inch, disinfect the air, AND cover your air ducts you should be fine.

I used to do it like that, until RR pointed out to me that you are cutting grains and exposing uncolonized surfaces to contamination. Better to break them up a day in advance, so you can observe how they recolonize and whether contams declare themselves.

Yeah, I wondered about that. But I had such a hard time breaking up the myc in some of my jars, I was sure the jar would crack. I didn't use gypsum that time around. I did this time. We will see if that helps.

I had a hard time breaking up well consolidated jars, even when banging them against a tennis ball. That is, until I started flipping the jars upside down while smacking them solidly and letting gravity do some of the work.

Just finished up. That is exactly what I did noobie. That was my plan was to break it up then use the spoon to scoop it out. Worked out well I had enuf for all the jars altho the amounts got smaller as I moved along. I put too much in the first few jars then realized I would have to ration a bit better for the rest or I would run out. All in all I think it was a success. I cleaned up my bathroom with 1/10 bleach/water spray and sprayed a bunch in the air and let it sit for a while, then came back in and cleaned all the jars with bleach spray and paper towel. One jar at a time I scooped it out and dropped it in. Gave them all a good shake to spread it around. Now I will just wait and see.

Mushroom piss/poop...
They are basically just waste byproducts produced by the myc as they eat away.

It's an all-inclusive word for secretions made by the myc. So it's a number of different things serving different purposes. If you leave a grain jar colonizing for too long you'll see this. Also any kind of stress usually. It's not known what all these secretions do.
