Are these active?
    #1166957 - 12/24/02 07:33 AM (21 years, 3 months ago)

It's hard to tell in the pictures but they are very blue, where the stems aren't blue they are white. They stems are stringy if you pull them apart, I found them in the seattle area under a small cedar(i think) tree, the substate was very loose and full of debri consisting of small rotting wood chunks and rotting follage from the cedar tree. The mycelium patch i found them in created a foot wide ring around the base of the tree. Any other details needed? This is my first find, i hope, and i would like to trip on them in the next few days, but i wanted to be 100% sure before i eat them. I am not even sure what kind they are, i was thinking cyan. The dark cap next to the big one in the middle is dark blue.

Take a spore print just to be sure, but I'm thinking they're cyans. I'd print all of them, because Galerinas(deadly) and cyans have been known to grow next to each other.

Galerinas bruise more of a black.

Yeah, those do appear to be cyanescens...do they have any veil reminants? What color are the gills? Yes, and do a spore print. Make sure they all bruise blue as well before injesting.
