I've tried a lot of those, and none work.I don't even know why the label half of the so called legal herbs as being psychoactive.Do you really think if they messed you up,they would even be legal:wink:I think not.I stopped experimenting with all of those herbs back in my late teens, and if I don't have any Cannabis I do without:grin:And some of the ones that actually do work Datura,Morning glory, etc, can either kill you, make you really sick, and or cause brain damage.I've found that the only Good Herb is Cannabis, and there are,or never will be any (legal) Substitutions:grin:

It's good for tea, though! Supposedly it tastes pretty good.

None of those are marijuana, none of those are LSD. Most blanket dismissals of all such herbs are because people do not understand that. Most of these are quite mild and special-purpose.

Leonotis spp. is a mildly active sedative euphoreant best in combination with other sedatives (it potentiates them, including mild potentiation of marijuana), resiny material is best.

Tagetes lucida I've heard conflicting reports from, some say its very mildly active, some say its wholely inactive, theres some suggestion it may need 'fermentation' similar to Heimia, and one person I know made a sort of ouzo liquor out of it.. it turned out to just be liquor.

Nymphaea caerulea is used in herb mixes to give a sedative or anti-anxiety like effect, oten used in the famous DMT smoke mix 'changa' popular in australia.

Lactuca virosa is definatly active as a sedative euphoriant, but only if its harvested properly. Either collecting just the resin after the herb has flowered or collecting thin strips of leaf material giving time for the resin beads to dry between cuts. It used to be used as a pharmaceutical drug. Avoid buying herb material, most is harvested wrong.

Nepeta cataria is a mild sedative if reasonably fresh, kind of pleasant, makes a nice tea before bed as an alternative to chamomile. I didnt have much luck getting effects from smoking it.

Uncaria I dont know much about but its mostly used as a medicine.

Withania somniferum is probably not worth growing just as an intoxicant. Its root does have a (somewhat uninteresting) sedative effect as do its leaves. It is sometimes used as a base for the hallucinogen changa and purportedly adds a very mild sedative effect but is mainly just filler. The plants main use is medicinal. The root is a cumulative adaptogen/aphrodesiac producing discernible effects after about a month of use and the leaf has been shown to improve effectiveness of radiation therapy in cancer. When my dads fingernails got brittle I started him on the root extract and healthy new fingernails grew out, his doctor was impressed enough to put his wife on it.

Silene capensis is most definatly active in many people as a dream inducer/modulator. Its used daily usually for a week or more and has a cumulative effect that is not apparent right away and often lasts for quite some time after use is discontinued. Some people that use it in adequate quantity for over a week report no effect, others report profound effect. I plan to do a course of it over the last 9 days of this year.

Acorus calamus is kind of toxic and difficult to use, some report effects, most dont.

Alpinia officinarum is reported as inactive by most, I like it as a spice with fish and vegetables

Calea zacatechichi is effective and has a most memorable flavor! It works by disrupting sleep patterns is taken before bed, basically its a long acting stimulant that doesnt stop you from getting to sleep, just keeps you from going too deep and thus causes more dreams. I've used it successfully several times, and unsuccessfully a few times, and every time it works I wake up tired.

Argemone mexicana is usually reported as mildly active as a sedative opioid, mostly used in mixes, I havent tried it.

Nelumbo nucifera is a mild anti-anxiety sedative usually used in mixes including changa, those aussies never miss a chance to add anti-anxiety herbs to DMT

You didnt mention Heimia (sinicuichi) its active if heap-fermented before drying and then sun fermented after brewing, vendor bought foliage is rarely processed in such ways and is often reported as inactive.

If you only want stuff with strong intoxicant effects most of the above is probably not for you, if you like to train yourself to appreciate subtle differences in mild to very mild drugs most are worth experiencing. Most would have to be grown indoors in your country, Silene capensis has pretty flowers

I don't think most of those herbs are worth trying, IMO there are more serious/worthy plants to investgate, but they maybe harder to find/less availiable/rare.
