Aside from noobie's link, if you can't get corn syrup then look for dextrose aka d-glucose in the baking section of your grocery store.

how are the test jars lookin?
One jar has a tiny piece on the top that I can see growing, but it's only been like 4 days.
Either I got MEGA LME, or I'm doing either LME or karo LC completly wrong. I have some syringes that I filled up from LME LC that have more mycelium in them than my entire quart jar of karo LC.

Looks like it, but not the same thing. Dextrose can also be called priming sugar (picked it up at the local hydro/brewery shop).

No. Powdered sugar or confection sugar is sucrose or cane sugar. Dextrose is corn sugar sometimes sold in solid blocks as well.

-noobie-
Lol.
"Powdered sugar is available in different degrees of fineness, most commonly XXX, XXXX, and 10X, with more Xs indicating finer grains.[1] Powdered sugar is generally mixed with cornstarch, wheat flour, or calcium phosphate to improve its flowing ability, and thus it is not generally used to sweeten beverages. However, industrial grades without these additives are available.[2]
One can make powdered sugar at home by putting normal granulated sugar in a coffee grinder or grinding it by hand in a mortar and pestle.
Castor or castor sugar (also referred to as superfine or baker's sugar) has a larger particle size, up to approximately half that of granulated sugar."
Just to repeat ourselves even more.

For mycological purposes, they are all the same. Dextrose, glucose, corn sugar. Humans can only use the d-version, dextrose.

Right. In people. Medical stuff will be dextrose, for example. "D10" = 10% dextrose in water.
