Disclaimer: I wouldn't do this. Never. But I want to ask if anyone has, and what the result was on such a little heart and mind.

In Nepal there was a place where all the little kids (5 -10 years old) would run up to me yelling, "mushroom, mushroom". They were selling psilocybe cubensis.
But thats not what you were asking about.
In the 50's and 60's there was research with psychedelics and children. I don't think there were horrible side affects. Some reports were very possitive.
I believe many cultures give psychoactives to children, just at much smaller doses (even the church gives wine to children)

This has been asked before, there have been cases of it before, including people who posted about it on here before. The search function can probably find these.

Honestly i think taking mushrooms as a kid would probably be the scariest thing ever. The high would probably hit you like a ton of bricks and you might even end up in the hospital.

Man! I had opium and hashish, but I never met those kids selling mushrooms while I was in Nepal! Where was that exactly?
As for the question, I don't get why some people react so negatively to a simple question. I thought we were open minded here.

I guess just because it would be a pretty irresponsible thing to do,people want to express how much they think it'd be a bad idea.
However,there was this thread: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11524298
where some poor sod's 5yr old nephew got into his stash...

Well thanks captain obvious, I didn't realize that...
What I meant is that this is a topic like any other 'round here, you know? Controversial? Taboo? Illegal?
What's up? Can't we even talk about it?

Chill,buddy...
Sorry to waste your time telling you something you already knew.
I also answered your question,by the way-that thread describes a little of what the poor kid went through. In my opinion,it'd affect them just the same as it does adults.Except they probably wouldn't have the mental maturity to understand and contextualise what they're going through. So I'd expect a mini freak out.Or maybe a nightmare.

Agreed, I do not like the idea. I really don't think anyone should indulge in psychedelic experiences until fully grown and, ideally, mentally mature.

I could see doing this for medicinal reasons... maybe giving kids with real bad depression like .5 once every few months or something. If in fact mushrooms help depression... Idk im just throwing ideas out there. Other than that, I don't see why you would give a kid mushrooms. They wouldn't have the ability to understand what was happening to them. I mean no one truly understands a mushroom trip imo but they wouldn't even realize why anything was happening, they'd just get scared

The poor kid? He fell asleep in front of the TV. He didn't eat enough. I mean, that's not a bad thing; if he had eaten enough we could call him "poor kid." I think the OP is asking about a children eating active doses.
I'm definite vehemently opposed to giving children and animals psychedelics, but I know its happened before. OP is curious. I guess I am too.
