21 gallon stack n' view, spawned with 6 quarts of colonized Malabar strain, from MS syringe. Been in fruiting for 6 days, these knots may turn into beauties very soon

Tub is looking good. Is your garbage bag taped to the wall of your tub? You might want to undo the taape, the whole point of the garbage bag is to reduce side pinning by sticking to the side of the substrate when it shrinks. If you have the sides taped the garbage bag cant stick when the sub shrinks and you have side pinning anyways. Up to you on what you wanna do though.

Thanks for the replies - I will update for sure.
My first, albeit much worse, monotub that I did, I experienced something like this:

After my first harvesting of my maz tub, I gave it some sprays and let it continue growth. The next night, I am looking in the tub before I go to bed, and wtf; there is a giant white fuzz sticking out of the side of the taped garbage bag, I could barley see it. It was a long, thick, twisted mushie that grew from the side! probably 6-7 inches long stretched out, weighed about 2 grams dry, so not spectacular. Little bastard tricked me though
Anyway, I refuse to open the tub until harvest, so its staying as is

What recipe is that? I haven't heard of it. I just bought a 25 pounds bag of gypsum because they didn't have anything smaller and I needed a pinch for my rye.
I am going to be mixing a sub for these rye jars pretty soon and I am pretty sure I don't know what I am doing.
I've got coir, verm and gypsum on hand and if I don't have to buy anything else right now that would be a good thing:)
Those stack and views are awesome!

well....see the knotting ? No casing either.
Gypsum has very real nutritional benefits for shrooms. This is my 2nd tub, and first one to fully colonize before fruiting, so I have nothing else to compare to. But it looks like it was a good idea ! When this is said and done we will know for sure though~!

Hey, thanks for the link. I got as much reading in as I could on that. These monotubs look amazing.
Last time I tried a bulk, there was an emegency and I had to leave town for three days and trich set in.
I am now convinced that the key to success is FAE without drying anything out. (I mean provided that you have an ace sub and your sterile tech is par).
FAE doesn't let any trich in, but we know we walk a tightrope here between air and water. Ahh, the elements, we are still battling them;)

Be careful; my first mono fruited early, because I did not take adequate measures for restricting FAE. Too much FAE made the knots form early, and I just threw her into fruiting conditions. Only gave me 16 grams dry first flush. This one, precautions were taken; a blanket was placed, COMPLETELY covering the sides of the tub. It colonized much faster, and looks like it is leading to MUCH better results. Another idea is to place a garbage bag over the tub, until its fully colonized.

There isn't any way you can just paypal him and get a download code is there? I wish I could do that then I could watch them today.
