Bay Area Hunting

Hola, Im from the Bay Area, but have been living in Arizona for the past 3 years, and only seem to get back to the area every now and then, but I always hit up my hot spots this time of year. Has anyone been out hunting lately? I usually do pretty well this time of year, but I found nothing on my first hunt of the season, yesterday...several different species, but no psilocybes. Can anyone out there give me an update as to progress this year, if there have already been heavy fruitings, if they havn't started yet, or what. The temps are getting chilly....low 40's at night, even into the 30s in some areas, but lots of rain the past few days. Have I missed my window?

The last two weeks were the first weeks that they have really been popping up. Things have been diminishing a little here lately, I think because of all the heavy rain... Things are just getting ready for a second flush. Its just in a transitional period right now.
Anyways, I think you shouldn't worry, more mushrooms are on their way in the next few days. The suns coming out again, but, its going to still stay cool.
Last few nights have been the coldest its been and it needs to stay that cold if we are going to find any cyanescens.
Good luck, are you in west/east/south/north bay?

I went out last Sunday, (not yesterday) after/during the first big storm. Nadda. Anywhere. Even at my "if they're not growing anywhere else they will be here" patch. This new find of Cyanofibrillosa intigues me. 3rd year in a row it's been found, by more than one person now. Late seaon this year in the bay. I use to have em before halloween, or at least by thanksgiving. Well, guess what santa's bringing for christmas?

I hunted briefly today, for maybe 30 minutes and made one find...a small cluster of 3 cyanescense. There are many species of mushrooms that are begining to fruit right now, although I cant give any identification. The mushrooms that I harvested today appeared to be about 3 or 4 days old, dry, and well-blued. I ate them about 30 minutes before seeing The Lord of the Rings II. Great experience, somewhat strong body high, light intensification of colors and lights...deffinately wanted more. Anyways, I think that after this next rain that we are expecting, there will be a fruiting...just in time for the New Years...
