No Pins After more than 3 weeks

Just don't get it - I've seen fucktards who can't spell their names grow these damn things. What the hell am I doing wrong?
Here's the setup
9 cakes (soon to be 13, just birthed some more last night) done with brf and verm. 3 different varieties. cambo, amazon, and pe.
64qt shotgun with 4" of perlite - perlite was starting to dry almost, only 80% rh this morning so I gave it a dunk in the bath tub.
Was sitting on a closet shelf that I'd close at night. During the day, it got the light that came in from the north facing window. Not the brightest light, but from what I've read it seemed sufficient. It's recently been moved to the top of a dresser next to that north facing window where it can get good daylight. Been there for 2 days.
Fan a few times a day and there's a larger floor fan in the room that my wife runs at night.
The whole thing usually stays between 68-73, depending on the time of day.
Misting was very very minimal at first - like just a couple pumps over the cakes and then some on the side walls and lid to help moisten up the air, usually first thing in the morning. But then I started to get some bruising on one of the cakes. It was said that they were bruising because of getting hit with the mister. But then I read of post of RRabbit's that said they do that when they dry out. Which made sense because the cake that was bruising had been in there for quite a while already. So I turned the couple that were bruised over and put some water under them on the foil and maybe a teaspoon or so over the top of them. Then I misted the things to get the sides nice and moist. Now 2 days after doing all of that, all of the fuckers are blued up.
Now the cakes seem to be taking over the dunk-n-roll verm layer ok, but nothing crazy, pretty slow to move. They just WON"T FOOKING PIN and it's getting extremely irritating. Lots of pissed away time, money and energy if I don't get these things to go. And I've still got more cakes! Doesn't seem that patience is the issue anymore.
Some folks keep telling me to spawn to bulk with them, but if I can't get pf cakes right, how the hell am I supposed to do a bulk tray or monotub? I'll mess with that stuff later, let me get the blind monkey on crack stuff right first.

You dunk and roll at birth? Temps are on the low end, but ok. More light would be useful, can you put a CFL over them?

Damn, now I really feel like an idiot - can't figure out how to attach a pic. Got some if someone can tell me what to do with them. Not going to host them somewhere, but if I can upload them here

Fanning several times a day - how's that not enough? Can't really keep them with a fan on them all the time, no RH buildup.
And yeah, dunk-n-rolled 24 hour soak

place the cakes in direct sunlight for 5 min everyday or every other day let the cakes dry out a bit before you mist

Well, 'several' does not equal 'many'. But what kind of FC are we talking about? Can we get pics?

5 times daily, at least.
Shotgun full of 1/4" holes
Should I keep the mist to once a day then?

I mist as needed, which is pretty much all the time where I am. Depends on your conditions. You may want a little oscillating fan on a timer to move air around during the day.
And I agree some sunlight will help. Or daylight CFL, almost as good.

They're in the tub still, water drained. They're getting sunlight in there now, so I'll just move them back to the closet at night and keep them in the tub during the day. Going to try and fan every couple hours. There's a heat duct next to the tub in a very small bathroom that should move some air around the room every half hour or so.
Going to roll these 4 new cakes and put them in there. They've been fully colonized for a couple of weeks now. Some amazon and cambodian. The 6 gt cakes that I've got were noc'd on the 4th of last month and are almost ready - not quite. Super thick and dense myc growth though. They look promising. Got 8 more 1/4pt pe jars, 3 1/4pt b+ and a full pt b+. The full pt is almost there and all the 1/4's are ready. Got a few more amazon too.
Hope these go better than these first few. No contams in jars though - so that went ok.

More light, FAE and misting.
How big is the closet? Do you keep the door open?
Other than large walk-in closets, they tend to be a poor choice for a grow room. Very little air movement, which is counter productive.

1. Dunk those cakes for 24 hours.
2. Quit keeping the fruiting chamber in a closet. There isn't enough natural circulation, and fresh air is the number 1 pinning trigger.
3. Elevate the tub on spacers so air can enter through the holes in the bottom, passing through the perlite on the way into the growing part of the terrarium.
4. If you're giving enough fresh air, you'll need to mist four or five times per day. If your perlite dried out, obviously you're not misting enough.
5. Give at least five to ten minutes of direct bright sunlight per day, with bright indirect sunlight the rest of the day. Don't use a north window unless you live in the southern hemisphere. If you live in the US or Europe, use a south or east facing window. RR

Alright, I'll set them next to the north facing window. Little cooler there though - they'll stay in the 70 range most of the time. Keep the fan running in the room too. I can take them to a north facing window in the morning for a little sun bathing. Kinda gloomy the past few days though. Ugh...
How much misting is enough? One pump - two - three? That's something that seems to have an all over the place and somewhat elusive answer. he he he...
thanks. gonna go do the dunk.

that last post - misunderstood you. got it under control now with the directions.
Ok, rolled the 4 new ones, put the other 9 under water. A couple of them are looking a bit rough - Can I cut off the bruising or just leave it? They'll get another roll tomorrow and then back to work.
Misted the 4 new ones until they were fairly wet looking. I'll keep it to the "just glistening" point from now on, just wanted to get the stuff started out.
Humidity in the box is slowly going back up. At 86 now. Put the fan across the room and have it blowing towards the fc - barely makes the lighter's flame dance, so it didn't seem to be too much. Elevated the fc with another tote's lid so now it's got airflow underneath. The sunlight thing is going to be a little bit of a juggling act, but I should be able to pull it off. See how goes.

Can time spent waiting between full colonization of jars to birthing affect yields?

Get rid of the fan. There's already natural circulation in the room, and that's what the shotgun is designed to operate from. I'd keep a window cracked open a bit though, even(especially) in winter. RR

I personally have the best advice. My advice is to listen to RR's advice.

Underestimating what it takes possibly? It is relatively simple, but it's not exactly growing a dandy lion either.
