well, went to seattle today to do some christmas shopping, and since I had the time, I went picking. 6 different spots were checked in the north seattle/ shoreline area yielding a total of about 1.3 pounds wet of cyans. most were somewhat damaged by the frost we had last night, but some were still looking prime. just enough to throw a phatty tea party on new years eve. theres nothing like kicking it with the homies, sitting in a hot tub, and contemplating the meaning and complexities of the universe to start the new year off right. probably my last picking of the year. got more than enough azures to last me till next picking season. a jar full of azure honney and 3 bottles of azure vodka 100 proof. not to mention a shitload dry. all my cyanescens have been gifted away and got more than enough mycelium of azures and cyans to have my own private beds next year. wont even need to battle the crowds at the parks. hope to go to astoria for the spring picking season in april/ may. happy holidays everyone. be safe and may your lives be full of love and light. I love you all here at the shroomery.

Awesome post!
Glad you nabbed a few fruits! It was cold last night... warmer tonight, but the end is near for sure for cyan season.
I'm hoping for a bit of last minute magic tomorrow. What's the vodka mix like? Would it work with cyans as well? Recipe?
I'll join you in April/May for the Astoria trek. I'd groove on finding Azures for the first time.
Peace and Happy Holidays cyan-shamen and all!

for the vodka recipie: 250 wet grams of azures( cyans and cubies also work well) soaked in a bottle of vodka. the higher the proof the better. let it sit till it turns purple. serve in shot glass with whipped cream on top. I call it "smurf shots" whipped cream looks like a little hat. 1. pour vodka into large jar containing shrooms 2. let soak till color is noticeable in liquor, I just let it sit for a week or 2 3. take empty liquor bottle and shove 1 fresh mushie into it( decorative purposes) 4. pour fermented shroom liquor out of jar and into bottle. a funnel helps my stoned ass do this well.filtering through a coffee filter or cloth helps to catch little chunks or spores- keeps the liquor looking great 5. with same cloth, squeeze liquid out of shrooms and into bottle 6. end result- blue vodka with a happy shroom in it in its own bottle, ready to serve *keep out of reach of alcoholics*

Congrats on your finds. I went hunting in Seattle yesterday in the U-Dist. and near the Zoo. I wasn't having any luck at all. I think those well known spots were probably pillaged over the weekend.
Do you think there are any Azures or Cyans left in the Tillamook or Astoria areas? I'll be in the area later this week and was wondering if it's worth the drive.
ps. May everyone here on the hunting forum have a Merry Christmas
