another thing i just noticed: i just tried to lift the tubs to see if they were heaveir and DAM are they heavy now. they must be saturdated with water inside. polyfil is still inside but its such a small amount, i might take the bottom holes out tonight and put the fan on really really low, not near the tubs.

It shouldn't be dry, but not waterlogged either.
Do you fan after you mist? See how those pins are glistening with moisture? You should be fanning enough to dry those off after misting.
You aren't going to see this change overnight. Go throw that fan in the trash, and take the poly out of the bottom holes, and leave it that way. If you need to mist, mist, but I would slack off on it. Keep manually fanning, vigorously. Forget the contams.

kk fans going off and polyfil is coming out. how long do i fan for? i just open the lid up and wave it up and down for about 30 seconds. my problem is that theres tons of water inside the sub but when the surface dries, what do i do? mist again? im listening though. polys coming out now.

i feel as though there is entirely way too much overthinking going on here.
i forget about my grows for weeks at a time and somehow they do just fine.

I can't tell you an exact amount of time to fan, because it will vary. Sometimes I'll fan for 5-10 minutes after misting, if that's what it takes.
I'm not sure your version of dry is actually dry. Next time you think it gets dry, take a few pics, I want to see.

dry mycelium feels dry, like the surface of a button mushroom you would buy at the grocery store.
it also looks dry.
in all senses: it is dry.

What's your humidity like (outside the tub)?

what? why? if there is no moisture on the surface, then mist.
evaporation is a great pinning trigger, but dead dry myc is not going to help anything.
mist that sucker. and figure out why your humidity is low for your future grows, because if your sub is "full of water" as you say, then your substrate surface would be fine if your humidity was correct.

I'm guessing the fan is killing your humidity.
I leave the poly out of my holes and mist 2 times a day. Although, I could probably get away with once. It shouldn't be drying out that fast.
Do you not have a hygrometer?

its a little late to be ordering one offline. just assume your humidity is too low and do something to remedy that.
