Borgore (Hardcore Dubstep)

Well nobody made a post about this and I thought he deserved his own thread. I know there are a lot of Dubstep threads. I've really been into Borgore lately along with Datsik, Tomba, Funtcase, and some others as they call it "Gorestep" or "hardcore dubstep".
Its pretty nasty and quite different dubstep, some say he (Borgore) in fact "ruined dubstep". I will admit its a harsh sound, I have always liked that though. So its def not for everyone... I really think this guy deserves to be heard though and thought I'd do what I can and share.

The first track is his latest release. The last one is his dude Tomba.
Borgore - Birthday and the Black November
Borgore - Cry Me A River
Borgore - Ambient Dub Shit
Borgore - Act Like A Ho
Tomba - Hebrew Hammer

I've listened to three of this dudes tracks and haven't heard a single measure of drop beat.
Isn't "Dubstep" supposed to find its roots in dub, aka reggae?

Well he calls this Gorestep, which I find to be quite fitting. Some people find it a bit pretentious when you go inventing your own sub-genres. I try not to adhere to them too much, its becomes so hard to decipher what traits or specific things classify some genres, thus a new one is born. Did you try "Ambient Dub Shit"? To me this is just the progression of dubstep and Borgore breaks the mold.

I appreciate the innovation in this music and that people can dance to it, plus that it spreads "disharmonious" and postmodern elements to a trendier part of the submainstream, but I just can't get into it. Dubstep that is. It's too corny for me, and at the same time, not corny enough, like Hammerfall or something like that.
This Borgore though, this is some of the first Dubstep I've heard that could almost be put on a background playlist for a few days. "Ambient Dub Shit" was alright for a listen or two.
But like all dubstep it's ear candy more than brain nourishment.

Most dubstep isn't that musical IMO and is more for raves, Ital tek is one of the dubstep artists that I'd listen to at home (there aren't many) but when I saw him live the crowd didnt get that into it so the music really totally depends on the environment IMO. Dance music tends to be less innovative and just something you can have a good old fashioned stomp too.

i've noticed all dub having a sort of different feel to it also. some is raunchy, while some is smooth. gotta love' it.
dark dub: i love the second track.
rasta dub: i only say this because i've noticed a lot of dub having a reggae type vibe lately.
psy dub:
been going to a lot of bassnectar shows recently, i love him, but i also know there are a lot of haters out there too. he has some great tracks on the new cozza frency cd, download it off a torrent if you can find it. mesmerizing the ultra also has some great tracks.
my buddy dj claycon out of louisville also has some good tracks, check him out.
you should subscribe to the dubstep page on youtube.
