Any studies on El Nino with Mushroom Seasons in existance?
    #11426635 - 11/10/09 02:15 PM (14 years, 4 months ago)

Just curious if it's ever been studied.   I'd love to know about seasonal changes.  I know it brings warmer, wetter winters to my region, but how that effects the seasons to come I have not found anything about.

By Mushroom Season I don't mean psilocybin species, I mean ALL fungi.

I've been reading that El Nino brings drier weather to the pacific northwest.  Still trying to find more information.

I think El Nino spins on its axis in the UK. I don't think Essex will ever be a tropical paradise in my lifetime.

I've been taking an enviromental Science class Called Earths Changing Climate up at College of the Redwoods,We learned about el nino,AND El nino causes world wide effects,The warmer waters of the Western Pacific over near the philpeens,AND INDONESIA the warm water migrates over to the eastern pacific and  traps the cooler cold water of the east pacific down under the warm water,This changes weather patters with the highs and lows and effects the whole world, some places more then others,El ninos were surpose to happen every 7-11 years, but with the earth warming its happening more frequect

Well this el nino brought ungodly cold to the Portland area, I was expecting it to be a warm season, not a cold season.  We're supposed to get back into the 40's and 50's for the rest of December, but everything had a hard cold frost, 17F for a few nights in a row.  I think this season is dead until spring?  Are there any frost dwelling edibles?
