Yep, Boards of Canada. Good stuff. I listened to Music Has The Right To Children the first time I did mushrooms. Amazing stuff, sober or intoxicated. I love how there are things constantly going on in the background, you have to listen to the music many times to hear everything. Very tripped-out music.

ORANGE!

there's one thing i'm pretty sure of when it comes to BoC:

you either think they are great, fantastic, amazing, even godlike

or

you think they're just ok, or maybe even a bit boring, in which case you don't understand the music and can stop listening to it right away.

but seeing a lot of people here having good taste in music makes me pretty sure there will be many who fall into the first category

IMO, these are some of their tracks which are bits of shroom trips in musical form. They make you feel happy, overwhelmed with emotion, and  maybe a bit scared or even paranoid, which isn't necessarily a bad thing:

Aquarius (music has the right to children(mhtrtc))

Roygbiv (mhtrtc)

In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country (iabpoitc EP)

Happy Cycling (u.s version of mhtrtc, or peel session)

Twoism (twoism EP/mini album)

Smokes Quantity (twoism EP/mini album, also on mhtrtc)

Sunshine Recorder (Geogaddi)

Please do not hesitate to use good headphones because it will make a difference.

If i had to pick one favorite Ep or Album i'd have to go with Twoism, of which you can see the fantastic album cover somewhere in this thread

its good to see more BoC fans here and i'm sure people will be amazed when they first hear their music, especially on shrooms.

Be sure to check out their website which was mentioned in this thread too, boardsofcanada.com, and also their own label site music70.com which has discography and other info.

happy holidays and happy BoC listening (cycling, smoking ) !

BoC is my favorite group, period. Not only are they wonderfull to listen too both sober and tripping, but they have been a HUGE infulence in my own music making.

...kaini industries is their most powerful (and shortest) piece in my opinion... but its all excellently done tho i prefer mhtrtc to geogaddi... there was just some sort of contest on music70 to film your own BoC musicvideo and send it in, the winners to receive some prize, i forget... twoism on original vinyl goes for several hundred dollars on ebay now... its insane. anyone whos interested should check out kainiindustries.com... its a pretty neat, albeit odd, site... if you guys like cLOUDDEAD, check out hood too... and i dont think i have to mention amon tobin, acid mothers temple, audiosports, hellinterface, christ i could go on and on...

its funny that i mention both happy cycling and roygbiv and then to see you reply with that name and 'subtitle'

the address kainiindustries.com doesnt work for me. Is the site offline or is it a wrong address? I'm very curious what to find there.

As you undoubtedly know, hell interface is an alias for BoC, and christ supposedly was involved in their music when they made twoism and before that.

Still, i wouldnt ever compare any1 else to BoC, tho i might check out clouddead since i've seen it mentioned a lot.

This was the page that my brutha Roy was talking about, him and I found this one night (while tripping I think..) It's quite cool, esp. for any flash artists, like my self, out there.

cheers for the link. cool site

roygbiv, please elaborate? I recently read that he was part of the BoC 'community' but did not actually help making the music.

ok, wait up, before you call me a silly dutchy or anything, i think just understood what you were saying. At least if you did indeed speak of the late J.C and not the artist who has the guts to call himself christ. Maybe he is involved in some odd and twisted way, who can tell?  :smirk:
