Putting together a classical music tripping playlist for tonight

I hardly know anything about classical music
so far I got:
1. Beethoven's moonlight sonnata , Tchaikovskys 1812 overture. These are for the come up. Any suggestions for soothing music for the come up would be suggested 1. The Bach Brandenburg Concertos - I figure this should be good for the peak
I also have:
Tchaikovskys firebird suite and Holst's planets,
any suggestions on how to arrange these, or anything I can add that I can download free would be appreciated

Hell yeah.
Bach - Air on the G String (song was named before Bach had any idea what parallels we would draw to it) Listen to this version, it's the best IMO. Maurice Ravel - Pavane for Dead Princess. Vivaldi: Four Seasons - Spring
Those are a few I really like.

Vocalise, Op. 34, No.14 by Rachmaninoff is good soothing classical for a come-up. I would recommend the Allegretto movement from Beethoven's 7th symphony for the peak as well as the Presto movement from his 9th symphony. The Dies Irae and Confutatis sections of Mozart's Requiem are also excellent.

Rachmaninov-Prelude in G Minor
I have a version by Alexis Weisenberg that seems to be superior to the others. Also almost any bach is good.

Hey thanks for suggestions. Things didn't go as planned, I just started out with the Brandenburg Concertos, which inspired these extraordinarily complex 3d shapes within shapes within shapes, but then I just turned the music off and listened to the silence

Here are more suggestions. These should be accessible for people who usually don't listen to classical. I added a vague note on how I think most people would find each in case you just want to skip the video and download the music:
Gustav Holst - The Planets Suite (enchanting, bombastic, visionary)
Steve Reich - Music for 18 Musicians(harmonizing, wavering, ambient, soothing)
Glen Gulda - The Gulda Mozart Tapes(smart, quick, sprighty)
Philip Glass - Einstein on the Beach(amusing and uplifting)
J. S. Bach - Cello Suites (soothing, romantic, flow)
and you might want to consider:
Schnittke's Concerto Grosso 1
Edit: YouTube clips for each work.

Seriously this guy is fucking incredible. I suppose it's not really classical, but still. Look into his album Prepared Piano.
I realize this is late, but I love the guy's work. I know he didn't invent it but the whole idea of prepared piano is genius to me and I just recently discovered it.
The music starts about 1:30 if you wanna skip him talking.

Alright then.
Terry Riley's Persian Surgery Devishes
Steve Reich Different Trains
Also Steve Reich Different Trains
Since we're doing Steve Reich and someone liked Music for 18 Musicians I also recommend Drumming:
Stockhausen Gesang der Junglige. A classically trained composer that created some of the first electronic music in the 50's:
Penderecki Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima:
Kaija Saariaho Parfum de l'instant:
I mentioned Bach's cello suites above, I recommend his Sonatas and Partitas for Violin as well:
Asmus Tietchens' Zweite Dämmerattacke:
Arvo Pärt Fßr Elina:
Remember these are full works, not just YouTube clips. ...YouTube is great. I've gotten many friends to listen to cassical music because you can get a quick listen at YouTube along with some visual information (which is very important as people usually need the visual to grasp music these days).
P.S. The following clips are by Sagor och sving. It's not classical, but it might fit your playlist. Sagor and sving do laid back swing drums with warm, fantasty-filled, meandering keyboard melodies...

Erik Satie's Gymnopedies and Gnossiennes
Gnossiennes No. 1
Gymnopedie No. 1
I don't listen to much classical, but I do really like solo piano or smaller groups.
I dig the Sagnor & Swing. Ended up getting pointed in the direction of their label, Hapna, and it appears there's the potential for a bunch of good shit to sift through.
