Slight browning.
    #1163676 - 12/23/02 04:10 AM (13 years, 11 months ago)

I noticed a slight browning on some the mecyclium growing in my casing today. Is this bad, very bad? Should I do something?

I did that. I doesn't look like any contam I've ever seen. It looks like it sort of dryed out. Which is possible, I was only spraying once a day. That's what I'm hoping at least.

I did some searching, and I think it is what is known as "Poo Juice". Someone to verify that would be nice though. At least now I can eat my pizza.

Now it's blueing, damn it. Is it just brusing from my frantic spraying, or lack of moisture?

It sounds like one of three things. Either lack of moisture, excrement (poo juice), or a contaminant. When you described it I immediately thought of mycelium urine.

Here's my 10 penith... Overwatering. I have seen cakes go blue/ brown from misting them esp if you added H202 to the water used to spray them. Calm down.. The mofo's may take a while but they will come -- and that is from experience!

Ah, I just left the casing alone, and went to bed. I checked it just now when I got up, and the mycelium is all dry (the dung is not however), and looks dead. I think I just give up on that casing.
