Embedded video player test
    #11631392 - 12/11/09 04:41 PM (14 years, 3 months ago)

I've just embedded a new video player into my website, but so far, have only tested it with XP running firefox.  If any of you aren't busy, or if you haven't seen the videos before, please see how the new player works and let me know if you find any bugs.  Thanks go out to Ythan for helping me solve the coding errors I was making. www.mushroomvideos.com

Using Google Chrome (4.0.249.25), Windows 7, and Flash Player 10: I encounter a bug where going Full Screen via the Options menu, I can't interact with the video/interface in any way other than to hit Esc to exit fullscreen. This leaves the options menu open, obscuring the video, and unable to be closed. Entering fullscreen by the right-click context menu works fine.

Otherwise, looks nice. Thanks RR.

Using chrome 3, I still get this problem. It seems to only be an issue with chrome and not the other browsers?

works fine in ubuntu jaunty jackalope running flash 10 and firefox.

I seen firefox and iceweasel posted. Iceweasel is pretty much firefox but without the branding. Debian had to rebrand it due to mozzila not allowing debian to use the firefox name without the branding. Debians software policy doesnt allow the use of the branding.

I've worked all the bugs out of the system I can.  It should work on just about everything except a few cell phones now.

One question though:  I set the player to load and begin playing automatically when a visitor arrives on the website.  What's the consensus of opinion on this?  I tend to hate when a website plays music or otherwise does something I didn't command.  I can easily code the player to wait for someone to select a video and click the start button.  What say ye, oh critical audience?

I think is great the way you have it. Doesn't bother me if the video starts when the page opens.
