I just thought of this today after reading a tek involving a 'resevoir' in the middle of a cake, the resevoir consisting of a straw/pen stuck in the middle for water...my question is, do any of you know of a nutrient solution that works? Or is water all it really needs? I was thinking even BRF and water....

There are 2 ways that could end...

1) the nutrient solotion will become colonized along with the cake just making it more of the cake and filling in the hole meant for a water resevoir.

or more likely

2) the uncolonized nutrient solution will pick up an airborn contaminant and your cake will turn pretty red, green, or some other decidedly unpleasant color

Okay so adding say water/and a water soluable nutrient wouldn't just get absorbed? I had read about injecting sterile water into the cake, and the fludh produced more yield..I just thought with nutrient it would yield more, but maybe water is all that is need?

(i'm not even sure what nutrients, if any cubie's like)
