That is such a sketchy question. Way more information please. Did you cultivate this mushroom , or did you find it?

Most mushrooms in the Psilocybe genus are more of a brown, golden, cream color cap, with whitish stems.

The odds of you finding a Psilocybe, an active Panaeolus or other hallocinogenic mushroom with a reddish hue is pretty small.

None the less, post a picture. You should move this thread over to the hunting forum btw.

azures [Psilocybe azurescens] can be red[ish].

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Ocyhreaceous brown to chestnut or caramel colored is the color of azurescens.

Ther eare however many6 species of msrhooms with red caps besides Amanita muscaria.

mj

and Panaeolus subbalteatus stems are a redish brown with fibrils running up and down the vertical lengths of the stems.

That is why there is no evident bluing becasue the stems are a reddish-brown and hide the bluing from oxiddation.

Yeah, I noticed that MJ, when picking them. Only the white mycelium that hung to the bottom of the stems blued to actually see. THe stems were too brownish to tell if it was just blue or black
