ok, i have 5 cakes and 1 of them got the green so i chucked it. next few days it looks like another one got it. but this one had like 8 nice mushrooms. i picked em and chucked the cake. the last few are going to get it i think i hope my casing doesnt i dont know how to get rid of the spores there much be so many i put h2o2 on the perlite. should i spray everything with h20/h202 solution? Also those mushrooms i picked do u guys think there safe to eat? If not does anyone have anything on where someone got sick from mushrooms.

edit- i forgot to mention the contam is "Trichoderma harzianum", you know the green mold. also my cakes were hit after the mushrooms started growing.

Without knowning what the green was, I cannot determine if it is safe or not. Do a search for jaybin in cultivation for info on somebody that got sick from a contaminated jar. My guess is that you will probably be fine... but that is a guess, and I still haven't won the lottery...

are you sure that your cakes got contamed and they weren't just bruising? sometimes bruising becomes blue/greenish and it's difficult to be sure what it is. in my first grow i throwed away cakes which i thought they were contamed but later i understood that they were just brusiing:-((((

if you shrooms grew from contaminated cakes maybe you should toss 'em. i have eatten shrooms from contamed cake and i am stil here but there is no reason to risk your life!

well shit were did it get green at.....did jam a dirty butter nife in it...i did that once
andmy shit turn green........just eat 1 mushroom and see
