heating question
    #1158337 - 12/20/02 04:11 PM (15 years, 5 months ago)

I was thinking about getting two Rubbermaid containers. One small one and one big one. I would place the smaller container that would hold my cakes into the bigger container. The bigger container I would fill with water to about half way or a little bit more of the smaller container. Then I would place a fish tank water heater in the water to keep a constant temperature.

Do you think by heating up the water to a certain temperature would keep the heat at a constant rate in the terrarium needed to grow Psilocybe cubenisis? Also by doing that would it also keep a steady humid climate in the terrarium needed to grow Psilocybe cybenisis? I heard to much humidity causes mycelium growing on the stems. Would this be a problem if I used this meathod in the terrarium?

I would try this experiment out but right now I haven't gathered any material to start my first grow. Before I get my material I just wanted to know what your guys opinion on this is. Thanks for the help :-)

Are you building an incubator or a fruiting chamber?

for the incubator I will use:
The Cutless Incubator
and use the meathod that I posted above for the terrarium.
